An artist first and an architect later, Ar. Swarnahiya Ganguly sees the world as a canvas, shaping it with her creations. Her design philosophy revolves around preserving both nature and history, seamlessly blending art with architecture to create meaningful, functional, and timeless spaces. She has made her mark as a space architecture enthusiast, architectural journalist, and competition-winning designer.
She established Hiyas Design, an architectural firm specializing in conventional or frontier and beyond. Her expertise extends beyond earthly structures. She has also contributed to space architecture, exploring innovative solutions for extraterrestrial habitats.

With experience from a MENA-based Mars analogue project and DSI’s lunar analogue habitat initiative, she leverages cutting-edge research to develop sustainable, mission-ready habitats. Passionate about pushing boundaries, Alimsha is committed to designing exploration solutions for Earth, space, and beyond.
